Quandra Swayze

With 32 years housing development experience, Quandra’ N. Swayze is the principal of QN Swayze Properties, LLC and Arocin Construction & Consultants, LLC. She has extensive experience structuring multifamily housing developments and has been highly successful in collaborating with development teams in various states. Through Arocin, Ms. Swayze serves as the lead with development teams from the inception of a development, to securing financing and managing various aspects of the actual construction – resulting in a “finished” multifamily housing community.

Serving as Arocin’s principal, Ms. Swayze has successfully consulted on the development and construction of 37 multifamily developments, securing in excess of $300MM in financing. Having previously served as the Vice President of the Tax Credit Allocation Division for the Mississippi Home Corporation (MHC) for five years – during her 10-year career at MHC – she has unparalleled experience working as an administrator of the Tax Credit Program and as a consultant that utilizes Housing Tax Credits as financing for multifamily construction. Her experience lends to her ability to keenly navigate the requirements of the Qualified Allocation Plan (QAP) in each state to ensure competitiveness for Tax Credit funding, work with multiple layers of financing to ensure financial feasibility and navigate the regulations of local government entities to satisfy the requirements for the development of multifamily affordable housing. She has experience consulting in Connecticut, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Virginia, and Tennessee.

As a specialist in the housing tax credit industry, Ms. Swayze was selected to review and provide recommendations on the United States Department of Treasury New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) Program. She has over 30 years of diversified experience in corporate management, working with nonprofits, for-profits, and housing and community development entities. Ms. Swayze is also exceptional in providing technical assistance, conducting conferences and workshops, and preparing and presenting financial forecasting.

Ms. Swayze has an MBA from Jackson State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business Economics from Southern University A & M College. She is a Realtor, Residential Licensed Builder, Business Leadership Coach, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
